About Medical University of Varna

Medical University of Varna, officially named after its patron Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov, was established in 1960 as the Higher Medical Institute — the third medical school founded in Bulgaria. Today it comprises four faculties (Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, and Public Health), a Medical College, and affiliated branches in Shumen, Sliven, and Veliko Tarnovo, serving around 6,000 students.
