About Andijan State Medical Institute

Andijan State Medical Institute was established in 1955, named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, and began as a branch of the Fergana Pedagogical Institute before growing into an independent medical institution. It obtained full university status in April 2025, carrying seven decades of history into its newly upgraded standing.

The institute has grown into a substantial institution with 5 faculties and 56 departments, its own laboratories, libraries, and clinical training bases. It reports over 8,500 total students and 750+ teaching staff, including 300 or more Indian students specifically.
